Indian classical music, at its highest form, aspires to bring both listener and musician to an experience of the divine. This musical ecstasy is invoked through sophisticated and complex combinations of unique musical components including ragas (scales) and chalans (movements) set to multiple talas (rhythm cycles) and containing words and mantras drawn from ancient texts as expressed throughout this album. I want my music to be a beautiful offering to the world. My prayer is that Soul Ecstasy helps listeners begin their own journey into inner bliss. We’re excited to connect in person and share how our animated band is actually real - real music, real stories, and real heart. Though the band lives in a virtual world, the songs are made and performed by real musicians and crafted for real connection. Founder Genevieve LeDoux will open the conference with inspiring remarks on “How to Glow in a World of Noise”—a reflection on creativity, clarity, and finding your frequency in today’s crowded media landscape. We are committed to cultivate a welcoming and affirming space, promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in our organization and the world at large. We recognize the positive power of music to shape children’s sense of fairness and justice, to teach the enormous importance of often-marginalized cultures to our music traditions, and to amplify the voices of BIPOC (Black, Indigenous and People Of Color), LGBTQI+ communities, and people of all abilities. We pledge to lead with humility, to continue our advocacy and support our members in theirs.
