Bio
Emilia Lopez-Yañez has been performing children's music since she was just a child, starting out at the age of 3 when she performed with her mom and older brother as part of "Me and the Kids." While she was completing her Masters degree, she fell in love with the genre again when she began teaching music and movement classes through PLAY Los Angeles. This inspired a reunion of the family band and Ruth and Emilia was born. Many years later, Emilia has opened her own music and movement studio, Malinky Music, in San Francisco, where she teaches PLAY music and her own Malinky music bilingual Spanish-English music and movement classes.
