About Symon and Princess

Symon and Princess Hajjar are the founders of Hot Toast Music Company in Tulsa, OK. Hot Toast is both a menu of in-person musical experiences for kids and a mixtape of songs for growing up. We believe that even the youngest children are whole people capable of constructing their own learning, thinking deeply, and having amazing ideas. Last May, Symon was diagnosed with stage 3 colorectal cancer. During a lengthy hospital stay and six rounds of chemotherapy, many of our thoughts about life, fear, family, faith, and mortality became stripped down to their clearest and most honest forms. Their experience building Hot Toast over the last ten years has been an adventure of learning how music, storytelling, and long-term relationship building can slowly grow into a meaningful community infrastructure that continues to support people long after the art itself is made
