Pete Seeger Scholarship Fund

We need YOU!  Pete, a folk musician and social justice activist, believed in the power of music to change lives. His musical legacy lives on through this fund and you can be part of it! Every gift matters to our community of children’s musicians, educators and librarians. Your gift is tax-deductible through our 501(c)(3) nonprofit. 

• The conference is a place of community, connection, learning, inspiration, impact and music making. 

• Every attendee returns home with new ideas, fresh approaches and exciting resources to share with students in their classrooms, libraries and performance venues across the globe.

• Music education is connected to student success - Music is our universal language and a key tool for social emotional learning, cultural understanding and more.

Why This Matters

For more than ten years, the Pete Seeger Scholarship Fund has helped members attend the Children's Music Network Conference when financial barriers might otherwise have kept them away.

This year, our goal is simple. 

Help 10 members attend the CMN 2026 conference.

Every scholarship creates a ripple effect that reaches children and families far beyond the conference itself.

This is more than a fundraiser—it’s a community-building project that reflects the spirit and mission of CMN. Along the way, we’ll share song snippets, culminating in a final video tribute celebrating our commitment to leading with love through children’s music, education, and social justice.

$50 – “Seat at the Table”

• Name included in video credits

$100 – “Community Builder”

• a customized thank you song, recorded in a video by a CMN artist

$500 – “Pete Seeger Circle”

• Invitation to a virtual singalong/community gathering led by Melanie Demore

• Special recognition during conference programming

$1,000+ – “Lead with Love Visionary”

• Sponsorship recognition on campaign page and conference materials

• Opportunity to dedicate scholarship support in honor/memory of someone

Optional: As a part of your donation, you are invited to sing “Lead with Love”! If you would like to contribute to the song ---- we supply the track and you sing along!  We will edit all the voices together and share a video on our website and social media!
