Bio
Andrea Green is an Emmy award winning composer, playwright, director, educator and music therapist. She is the 2019 recipient of the ‘Teacher as Hero’ Grand Prize Award from the National Liberty Museum in Philadelphia, Pa. In 2015, Andrea received a Mid-Atlantic Emmy-award for the documentary ‘On the Other Side of the Fence’, a film about her work as a music therapist. (www.ontheothersideofthefence.com) She received a 2015 humanitarian public service award from the United Nations along with numerous other film awards. In 2014, she was honored with a Proclamation from the City of Philadelphia, recognizing her work as a music therapist with children. Her songs and musicals are performed by children’s theater groups around the world.

Andrea has a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida, and a Master’s degree in Creative Arts in Therapy from Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pa. She is the director of the New Horizons Senior Choir and is on the board of Pickleberry Pie, a national organization devoted to bringing music to hospitalized children.
