Bio
Thank you for allowing me to introduce myself. I am a voting member of the Recording Academy and have recorded four released albums. I have been a public music teacher in the Northwest area of Washington and Alaska for over 30 years Most of those years have been in elementary music in the Yakima, WA area. I recently retired from full time teaching last year but still teach elementary music for elementary classes at Yakima Montessori school. I also perform jazz, blues and pop in a duo as a performer locally at venues with my friend Bart Roderick known as Rond n' Bart.
I am not known as a children's artist but my fifth album I am working on is a Lullaby album for my grandson, Graham. I am creating a album that puts the baby to sleep with the historically best known lullaby with Jim Kimo-West on guitar and a few other Grammy known featured guests. (Jim is a New Age Grammy winner known for his beautiful Hawaiian slack key guitar work as well as working his hard rock guitar for Weird Al.
I've been a WMEA (Washington Music Education Association) member for many years and presenter as well as a member of Orff Chapters in the Northwest.
Through my attendance to the Grammy's over the last few years I have gotten to know many children's artists associated through this network and hope to travel to LA for the conference.
