Mr. Ages is the musical project of Los Angeles–based songwriter and media producer Sage Price. After the birth of his daughter, Thomasina, finding that much of the music being made for children lacked soul and musical depth, Price began writing songs for families. The result, Quality Music Intended for Children, is an imaginative collection of songs written and produced with the craft, care, and human musicianship seldom found in contemporary family friendly media.
Price holds a BFA in Performing Arts from Cornish College of the Arts and spent his mid twenties living in Brazil, where he developed a deep appreciation for Brazilian tropicalia, MPB, and bossa nova. Those influences, alongside the American folk and classic country music of his rural Washington upbringing, shaped the musical language of Mr. Ages.
